After Julia came back from Saratov, she traveled to St.petersburg. Where me and Timothy were expecting her at the “Helious” hotel.
The time Julia was away for a funeral was a challenge for me as i was left a lone with Tim for about a week, and some of you know, that a 3-year old kid and a father is itself a possible disaterous situation…..I praise God that he gave me everything i needed to keep Tim busy, ….my mom was very gracious as well to come and help along with meals and staying with Tim, when i needed to do something outside the flat.
Helious hotel is located close tot he Finnish Bay in the city of Zelenogorsk. (Zelelnogorsk was part of Finnland few decades ago), but
after russian-finish war, russia got this beautiful piece of land as a reward. I never been to Finland, but being in Zelenogorsk i always had a feeling i’m not in russia but in europe (somewhere in Finland).
In the begining we had a Bible institute for all Campus Crusade staff. There we study “Methods of the Bible study” There we studied Paul letter to Philipians, Book of Ruth. It was a good study of how to study the Bible and discover its riches
After the training we had a conference: “Where are we going? It was good to hear from our leaders the national plan. Our national director Roy Stiff said in 2-3 years there would be a russion national director. And the ministry is going to invite more russian into leadership roles. I think it’s important milestone. It was good to talk about our new vision 2020: By the year 2020 everybody in Russia must know at least one born-again Christian, who is taking initiative in evangelism. There was aloso much discussion about building movement in russian in different layers of society. Looking back at last year we saw many come to know the Lord, new leaders took inititive in starting new ministries (for example working in schools, ministry with young proffesionals and bussinessmen and etc.),
Now we are back in Krasnoyarsk….feels so good to be at home
